What to expect during your little ones newborn photoshoot

Coming for a newborn photoshoot can be quite a big event with your baby only days old. Here at Cattersgill Photography we pride ourselves in making sure you and your baby are cared for and have a relaxed and gorgeous experience.

On booking in your newborn session you will be invited to the studio for a pre-consultation, here's where you can ask anything! Together we will talk through any colours or ideas you have and you can browse through all the props, wraps and blankets and products in the studio. We appreciate that it can be an anxious time so inviting you to visit us before the big day can help you feel settled.

When your baby has arrived we have a short time in which to capture their tiny details and that pure newborn phase. Babies sleep well in their first two weeks which allows us to pose and capture your baby safely, little ones can change daily so its best to grab this time before it goes!

When you arrive with your little one, the studio will be fully set up with all your colours and ideas! You can relax on large comfortable sofas with a cup of tea whilst I settle and pose and work with your baby only feet away. Parents love to sit and watch whilst grabbing some much needed relaxation knowing their baby is in the very best of hands!

The session flows softly with your baby's needs, when it's time for a feed we stop and feed. I take all the cues from your little one. There is never any pressure or rush and I never book more than one client per day so you and your baby have my full care and attention.

Most newborn sessions last around 3 hours, it really will fly by as you enjoy the experience as a new family!

Once your session is completed you are welcomed back for your private viewing session. Here you can see all the images large and in HD whilst discussing how best to display them. We offer no pressure sales, if you love the images we want to make sure you have the perfect product to display them in your home!
